If I Were a Lineworker Children’s Book
If I Were a Lineworker is an original book created and published by WPPI Energy staff in early 2020 to celebrate National Lineworker Appreciation Day. The purpose of the book is to:
- Engage and educate customers of all ages
- Build relationships with local schools and organizations
- Communicate the benefits of your utility
- Celebrate your utility’s lineworkers and the special work they do
…all while gaining some goodwill and publicity for the local utility!
About the Book: The illustrated children’s book follows the day in the life of a lineworker through a child’s imagination. The book provides examples of a how a lineworker helps the community it serves, ending with the child embracing their parent at the end of the day, who is an actual lineworker. Written and illustrated by WPPI staff, the book is recommended for elementary school aged children, but can be enjoyed by all!
